I write songs about secrets and distorted memories – things that I can't make sense of or talk about with anyone. Most are stories or spaces that one could inhabit. Sometimes they are fractured and incomplete – puzzles and allegories inviting listeners to find their way.

When I was a kid, I used to play inside of the church pipe organ while my dad, a Lutheran pastor, would write his sermons. I have always had an immersive and tactile relationship with music. As bizarre as it might seem to perform with homemade robotic instruments, it all makes perfect sense to me.
